"Therefore JESUS said again, "I tell you the truth, I AM THE GATE for the sheep."
John 10:7

Because of personal sins, man was locked outside of the gate of eternal life.  Eternal life did not just appear in the mailbox one day, JESUS gave HIS life to become THE GATE for the sheep. 

I am always amazed by the fact JESUS died not only for those who did not love HIM, but also for those who cared less about what GOD wanted for their lives.  Truth is sometimes hard to bear, but you and I fell into this category.  We did not love the LORD or give a thought to HIS love for us.

Where would we be today if JESUS was not THE GATE for the sheep?  JESUS opened the gate to eternal life by dying for our sins on the cross.  Hebrews 12:2

If you are a Follower of JESUS it is likely you have heard the gospel again and again and again.  Ask yourself this question - Has the message of the gospel lost it's luster as far as your concerned?  When you hear someone sharing the gospel in your presence, do you stop paying attention because you are 'bored-again'?

Take a deep breath, hold it, and let it out slowly!  The gospel is a joy, a mystery and more exciting than you are able to completely express!  Never get complacent to the wonder of the gospel, or let yourself become tired of hearing about GOD'S love for you, made possible by JESUS, THE GATE for the sheep. 

Love GOD, give HIM joyful praise for opening HIS gate of eternal life through the body of JESUS.
