There are vast numbers of people around the world who are in the midst of suffering in one form or another.  For example - 

 Followers of JESUS around the world who are being attacked, jailed or murdered for their faith in GOD.

Elders, parents or close relatives or friends pass leaving deep emotional pain in survivors lives.

Woman who has been viciously raped and molested by family members, friend or on a date and suffers trying to live with the consequences. 

Husband, wife and children being torn apart by acts of adultery or divorce.  

Families going through financial suffering causing loss of homes and individual stability.

The one who is permanently disabled, living in chronic pain 24 hours a day, doctors unable to understand or cure the disease.

The list could go on without an end in sight as suffering comes to each person who has ever lived.  Life brings suffering .  But as we shall come to understand in this article, all suffering is not intended to destroy us.  As the title to this article says;  GOD Knows Your Suffering!  This truth brings great relief to those who have suffered so much, so long, so desperately that they have began to believe that there is no answer or cure and that they are on their own.  The belief that nobody cares, not even GOD, can bring a hopelessness or helplessness causing many people to make poor or even destructive choices in their lives.

In order to examine the truth that we are never alone or forgotten in our suffering , let's examine Psalms 119:50 -

GOD is not only aware of our suffering, but HE has an active plan to rescue all those who love HIM.  At this point you may be asking; "Well if the LORD knows about my suffering, if HE is with me and loves me, why doesn't HE step in right now and help me, deliver me, heal me, give me back what the enemy has stolen?"

Most Scholars have answers to such questions.  Answers that originate from logic, impressions from reading the Scriptures over many years, etc.  The bottom line is that no man knows the mind of GOD, nobody can understand HIS ultimate plan for a persons life but HIMSELF.  Therefore, living in times of suffering requires pure trust in the LORD, and the discipline must live for HIM every day, proclaiming HIS love and goodness toward you.

This lifestyle includes joyful prayer, praise and worship on a daily basis.  Fellowshipping with other Believers throughout the week is also very important.  Doing so, you may find out that several others are enduring serious suffering just like yourself.  Upholding one another in prayer helps each other stand strong in the LORD.

On page 2 we will discuss GOD'S wonderful plan for our individual lives.  It's time to remind ourselves that even during suffering, GOD is working out the details of HIS plan for our life.
