Far too many people today believe that GOD is a 'hard case', that HE is too tough to get along with and even if you could, HIS rules and demands would choke the average person to death.  As a matter of fact, when I was near 13 years old a friend told me all about GOD, the gospel and HIS love for me.  As I got to know this person better, it seemed to me that there were a lot more things they could not do then things they could do in life.  It came to my mind that 'GOD was no fun', that it was not possible to make HIM happy.  Therefore, I made a choice not to accept JESUS at that time.

Just over ten years later I discovered that a large number of people were legalists, but that GOD was full of life and love.  There were a lot more things to do when you belonged to GOD then when you didn't.  Eternal life was full of joy and freedom, not just restrictions.  I found out that GOD was not a 'hard case', but that HE was full of compassion for people.  The description of compassion is - sympathetic consciousness of other's distress together with a desire to alleviate it with the use of GREAT COMPASSION!  These truths changed my life.

Instead of; "I AM GOD, I am going to crush you for making a mistake", like I thought when I was a teen, I found out that GOD is the GOD of compassion.

If you find yourself in trouble or great need today, get it out of your mind that GOD is a 'hard case' and does not care for you or what you are going through.  If you give GOD that opportunity, HE will always prove HIS love for you.  I know this to be true not just because I read it in the Holy Bible (that would be enough), but I have experienced GOD'S compassion again and again over the years.  There is only one you can always trust, one that will never let you down.  GOD the FATHER, CREATOR of all things and just so happens to be the lover of your soul.
