Deceivers,
Have Nothing To Do With Them!

Welcome to the article on the topic of - Deceivers, Have Nothing To Do With Them!

There are many reasons some people go to Church that do not include personally seeking the LORD or giving themselves to help sinners find salvation through faith in JESUS.  Some people attend Church under an invisible cloud of deception to either maintain an acceptable appearance in their family or to someone else.  I have personally met several men who attend Church in order to meet with others to establish and maintain a Christian Business appearance.

Outward appearances have nothing to do with a persons heart or lifestyle.  A Pastor once pointed out to me a couple who attended his Church and said; "You see this man and his wife, they are the finest Christian's I have ever known."  I admit, they sure looked good from the outside, but since I knew them personally and their activities outside of Church, I knew that they lived personal lives far from being 'fine Christians'.   Nothing could be further from the truth!

When I was a teenager I had a friend invite me to their house after school.  When I arrived I had never seen a more beautiful house on the outside.  You can't imagine my shock when we opened the door to his home and I discovered a place fit only for insects or wild animals.  Outside and inside often have nothing in common.

It is impossible for one person to know what is in the heart of another person regardless of how they appear on the outside.  The ability to deceive another person comes very easy to some people.  Most of the worlds predators deceive their victims by convincing them they really care about them and want to be their friend.  Once they have accomplished their goal, they quickly strike and commit horrific crimes against individuals and society.

The Word of GOD condemns the act of deception.  Paul carefully explained his actions while ministering among the Corinthian Churches.  What people saw on the 'outside' of Paul was the same as what lived in his soul.  Truth, honesty, straightforward speaking and the presentation of the one, true gospel described what Paul was all about.

2 Corinthians 4:2

"Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the Word of GOD.  On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of GOD."
