I WILL NOT FEAR!

Welcome to this page where we will be discussing the topic of fear.

Fear is a driving force in people's lives, either for good or for bad depending upon individual situations.

GOOD FEAR:  Good fear is what keeps you from standing in front of a stampeding herd of elephants, or wearing all black cloths and sitting down in the middle of a busy road on a moonless night.

Good fear is what prevents you from putting your hand into the burning fire or hot stove.  Good fear keeps you from leaping off of roof tops or jumping off of a Mountain.  Good fear  helps preserve your life.

BAD FEAR:  Bad fear is what often makes you powerless to do good or right things.  Counselors call this type of fear a - phobia.  The list of recognized (and segregated by type) phobias is more than 500.  My personal phobia is that I will never finish reading the long, boring, man-conceived list of phobias!

A small list of (10) Bad fears examples can look like this -

1. Fear of Failing.
2. Fear of Success.
3. Fear of Being Judged.
4. Fear of Emotional Pain.
5. Fear of *Embarrassment*
6. Fear of Being Alone/Abandoned.
7. Fear of Rejection.
8. Fear of Expressing Our True Feelings.
9. Fear of Intimacy.
10. Fear of The *Unknown*

The LORD never intended man to live under the control of Bad fearHIS original plan, that also continues today by the way is that HIS children would live productive lives controlled by the HOLY SPIRIT not fear.

Many people know that GOD would have them tell others about JESUS, but are too afraid to do so.  If you have ever been under the control of a paralyzing fear, you know how difficult your life can be, even when you want to obey the LORD.

A single person may find themselves too afraid to ask a person to go on a date with them and therefore never get around to doing so.  With the gospel of CHRIST, it is another matter altogether because of it's seriousness, the need for everyone to know that the FATHER sent HIS SON JESUS CHRIST to die for our sins and grant eternal life for all who believe in HIS Name.

You may need to learn the difference between being afraid of worldly or natural things but not spiritual things, especially something as important as the gospel explained in the Holy Bible.

Romans 1:16

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of GOD for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile."

The phrase 'I am not ashamed' is defined as; "I am not afraid"  The goal of this Article is not just to discuss the topic of fear, but to move people toward personal freedom from the controlling power of fear  in their lives.  So here are the facts that everyone needs to consider:

  1. The LORD is on your side.

  2. HE has made all provisions and necessities for your confidence.

  3. HE has enabled you to stand in faith.

When you come to that revelation and you know that you cannot be shaken, the Word of GOD will provide you with ALL the confidence you will ever need.

Psalms 3:1-8

1 O LORD, how many are my foes!
       How many rise up against me!

 2 Many are saying of me,
       "
GOD will not deliver him."
       Selah

 3 But YOU are a shield around me, O LORD;
       you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.

 4 To the LORD I cry aloud,
       and
HE answers me from HIS holy hill.
       Selah

 5 I lie down and sleep;
       I wake again, because the
LORD sustains me.

 6 I will not fear the tens of thousands
       drawn up against me on every side.

 7 Arise, O LORD!
       Deliver me, O my
GOD!
       Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
       break the teeth of the wicked.

 8 From the LORD comes deliverance.
       May
YOUR blessing be on YOUR people.
       Selah
