JESUS looked at him and loved him. "One thing you
lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you
will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow ME."
JESUS
met the young, rich man who wanted to gain eternal life, and since this young man had
lived a righteous life, he wanted to know if there could possibility be anything else he
should do. JESUS
sees in the young man's heart a love
for money above his love
for GOD.
Getting rid of all he owned, and giving it to the poor would be the final perfection of
his heart for GOD.
