Living your life day by day in the 'JOY' of the LORD!

Time To Pray

On the topic of prayer, there is never a wrong time to pray.  Most prayer is simply talking with the LORD, throughout your day.  It is good to establish habits for personal enrichment, and especially for your family, to begin and end each day with a time of prayer.  It is a fact that when our children learn to pray in the mornings, meals and before they go to bed while they are young, these habits will continue throughout their lifetime.  The prayers below are only examples, not necessarily meant to be repeated over and over again.

Morning

This is the day that the LORD has made,
I will be
glad and rejoice in HIM.
-------
JESUS, as YOU rose from the dead in the
morning hours, let my love, praise and
prayers, rise
to YOU each morning.

Meals

GOD is great and GOD is Good,
And we thank
Him for our food;
By
His hand we must be fed,
Give us
LORD, our daily bread.

Bed Time

And now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the
LORD my soul to keep,
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the
LORD my soul to take.
